VDU and Safety eyewear

Employers whose staff use VDU's have a responsibility to provide a full eye examination and eyesight test, and if required provide VDU corrective spectacles. A Hurd Opticians has developed a fully administered eye care service in order to save time and money in meeting these employer's requirements. Spectacles supplied are related to occupational needs and may not be suitable for general use {i.e. Driving / Television / Reading). Anti-reflection lenses are recommended for VDU use but are not a requirement, they are offered as an employee option at a 15% discount.
Safety spectacles
Following the examination the employee will receive a copy of their prescription (requirement by law) and you will receive a single monthly invoice and report by employee stating whether spectacles are required for occupational reasons and have been dispensed, and the recommended interval until the next examination (if visual problems occur they should return earlier, reminders will normally be sent every 2 years).
 
As part of our commitment to you and your employees all employees and their partners and children are also entitled to 15%* off frames and lenses {'cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer)
